Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Toonsona website, waitlist and — once it launches — the Toonsona service (“the Service”). By joining the waitlist or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.

What Toonsona is

Toonsona lets you design cartoon characters, build the sets they film in, and turn scripts into AI-generated talking videos for platforms like TikTok, Reels and Shorts. The product is currently in pre-launch: the only live feature is the waitlist. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, pricing or a launch date, and announced perks (such as founding-creator discounts) may change before launch.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or older where your local law requires) to use the Service, and old enough to form a binding contract, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.

Your content

• You keep ownership of the scripts you write and, subject to the plan you are on at launch, the characters and videos you create with the Service.
• You give us the license we need to operate the Service: to host, process and display your content in order to generate your videos and run your account.
• You are responsible for the content you create and publish with Toonsona, including where you post it and how you present it.

AI-generated content

• Videos, voices and characters produced by the Service are synthetic media. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose — review everything before you publish it.
• You must follow our AI & Content Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: no impersonating real people without consent, no deception about what is real, and no illegal or harmful content.
• Many platforms (including TikTok, YouTube and Meta) require you to label AI-generated or synthetic content. Complying with those rules when you publish Toonsona videos is your responsibility.
• We may embed provenance signals (such as watermarks or metadata) in generated videos, and you may not remove them.

Prohibited conduct

You may not misuse the Service — including breaking the law, violating the AI & Content Policy, infringing others’ intellectual-property or privacy rights, attempting to break or overload our systems, or reselling the Service without our permission.

Intellectual property

The Service itself — including the Toonsona name, design, software and built-in assets — belongs to us or our licensors. These terms give you no rights to it beyond using the Service as intended. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email hello@toonsona.com and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that generated content will be error-free, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or any particular results (views, followers or revenue) from content you publish.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or the content you create with it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of content you created or published with the Service, or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the costs and damages that result.

Termination

You can leave the waitlist or stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms or the AI & Content Policy, or if we discontinue the Service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — to be completed before launch], and disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will post changes here and update the date above; significant changes will be announced to waitlist members or users by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
