AI & Content Policy

Everything Toonsona produces — characters, voices, videos — is synthetic media. Our whole premise is a cartoon creator that is openly fictional: “this influencer doesn’t exist”. This policy keeps it that way. It is part of our Terms of Service, and breaking it can lead to content removal or losing access to the Service.

The short version

• Don’t pass synthetic content off as real.
• Don’t impersonate real people without their consent.
• Don’t use Toonsona to deceive, defraud or harm anyone.
• Label AI-generated content where platforms or laws require it.

Prohibited content and uses

• Impersonation. Characters that depict or imitate a real, identifiable person — their face, voice, name or likeness — without that person’s documented consent. Parody of public figures is only allowed where it is clearly parody and legal in your jurisdiction.
• Deception. Presenting generated video as authentic footage, fabricated events presented as news, fake testimonials or reviews, and content designed to mislead people about elections, public health or safety.
• Fraud and scams. Phishing, investment scams, impersonating businesses, fake giveaways, or deceptive advertising — including undisclosed paid promotion where disclosure is required (for example by the FTC’s endorsement rules).
• Harm and harassment. Content that harasses, threatens, defames or incites hatred or violence against anyone.
• Minors. Any sexual or exploitative content involving minors or characters presented as minors — no exceptions — and content targeting children with deceptive marketing.
• Illegal content. Anything that breaks the law where you or your audience are, including infringing copyrighted characters, music or brands you don’t have rights to.
• Regulated advice. Presenting a character as a real licensed professional (doctor, lawyer, financial adviser) giving individualized advice. Educational content is fine; fake credentials are not.

Disclosure and labeling

• Use the AI-content labels the platforms provide — TikTok, YouTube and Meta all require synthetic or meaningfully altered media to be labeled, and some laws (such as the EU AI Act’s transparency rules) require disclosure as well.
• Cartoon characters are self-evidently animated, but don’t undermine that: no claiming a character is a real person, and no using generated voices to fake real ones.
• Toonsona may embed watermarks or provenance metadata (such as C2PA-style credentials) in generated videos. Removing or obscuring them is not allowed.

Your responsibilities

You are the publisher of what you make with Toonsona. Before posting, make sure your content follows this policy, the rules of the platform you post to, advertising and consumer-protection law that applies to you, and the rights of anyone depicted or referenced.

Reporting and enforcement

If you see content made with Toonsona that violates this policy, email hello@toonsona.com. We review reports and may remove content, revoke access, and where the law requires it, notify authorities. We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve; the date above reflects the latest version.
